Review concept art
Goal: turn feedback on an image into a clear design decision. Local markup needs no account; discussion needs the configured Codex connection.
1. Keep the source
Section titled “1. Keep the source”Place the image in the project and open it. Create or open its markup document so your annotations remain separate from the original artwork.
2. Mark the actual concern
Section titled “2. Mark the actual concern”Use Pen or Arrow for a specific silhouette, scale, route or readability concern. Prefer a few clear marks to a layer of unexplained circles. Use Select to adjust them and Pan to inspect the composition.
Wait for the save state or resolve retained edits before assuming the marks are stored. See Images and markup.
3. Discuss a concrete question
Section titled “3. Discuss a concrete question”Choose Discuss, inspect the captured view and ask a focused question: “Which of these two shapes communicates the ranged attack more clearly at gameplay distance?”
The attached image describes this captured composition. If you later change the art or annotations, attach the new view for the next review.
4. Keep the decision with the subject
Section titled “4. Keep the decision with the subject”Write the accepted decision in the relevant page. Link the art or export a PNG copy of the annotations when another person or tool needs the composition.
Result: original art, editable markup and a written decision you can find without rereading a conversation. Create an issue only when there is an implementation task to hand off.
