The GDE manual
GDE is a native Windows workspace for designing a game and following its implementation. Keep your pages, worldbuilding, issues and results close together, over ordinary project files.
This manual covers the unreleased alpha. There is no public download or Store release linked here. If you already have an evaluation build, start with an example or open your own project. Read Alpha status for the current limits.

Start with the work you have
Section titled “Start with the work you have”- Explore the interface: Open an editable example.

Find the right workspace
Section titled “Find the right workspace”Design holds pages, collections, maps, canvas, visual review and project knowledge. Learn the navigation, then write a page or compare subjects in a collection.
Work brings together GitHub issues, implementation Runs and results. Work and issues explains the board; Runs and result review explains how to judge what an implementation produced.
Project is your return point and the home for project settings, engine bindings and operation-specific Requirements. Project and engines covers setup without making an engine a prerequisite for writing.
Director is a contextual conversation over the same project. Learn how context and actions work before handing work to a model.
Keep moving
Section titled “Keep moving”Guides walk through complete tasks. Reference collects formats, shortcuts and capability tables. Troubleshooting covers missing tools, changed files, retained edits and results that no longer match their evidence.
