Navigation and context
The top-level areas are Design, Work and Project. The sidebar changes with the area, while open documents remain available in tabs.
Choose an area

Select, preview, open, return
Section titled “Select, preview, open, return”Select a collection subject to read it beside the collection. On a narrower window, the selected page occupies the workspace; use Back to return to the collection.
Expand a preview to work with the same page centrally. You are not editing a detached preview copy. The same principle applies when opening a related subject from an outline, relation or issue preview.
Use tabs for documents you want to keep open. Alt+Left returns through document navigation; Ctrl+W closes the active document.
The right pane follows a subject
Section titled “The right pane follows a subject”- Director is the conversation.
- Details shows relevant properties and references for the active subject.
- History presents available history for that subject.
Use the active document or selected subject as your point of reference when switching these views. Settings remain in their own settings view; they are not edited through the conversation pane.
Toggle the conversation from the title bar or View → Director conversation. Closing a pane gives the document more space without deleting the conversation.
Find a file
Section titled “Find a file”Press Ctrl+P, use the title-bar search button, or choose File → Open file. The current alpha searches file names and paths, including relevant project, Scratch and open-file entries. It is not a full-text, GitHub or engine-asset search.
For text within the active document, use Ctrl+F. For related subjects, follow page links and backlinks rather than searching for the same file again.
Read the status bar locally
Section titled “Read the status bar locally”Document save state and text information relate to the document. Repository information relates to Git. Engine connectivity and model usage describe their own connections. A disconnected provider does not mean your local note failed to save.
